Two men have pleaded guilty to drug charges after being found in “crack den” in Grangetown last September, South Wales Police have said.
Layton Preece, 51, and Dylan Young, 21, were found in the property in 2024 with just over £4,000 worth of class A drugs - including cocaine and crack cocaine.
Preece and Young, along with four other men, were described as being in a “state of panic” as officers from the Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime Team entered the property in 2024.
While officers were in the one-bedroom flat a woman knocked on the door and after a uniformed officer opened it, she said: "The shop’s shut," and left the property, according to South Wales Police.
Preece, of no fixed abode, was charged and pleaded guilty to possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply and being caught in possession of crack cocaine.
Young was charged and pleaded guilty to possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply.
On February 20, Preece was jailed for 42 months and Young was given a 18 month sentence suspended for 21 months at Cardiff Crown Court.
