A Cardiff drug dealer who was found trying to hide crack cocaine and heroin in his mouth as police raided his home was jailed earlier this week.
Kaine James, of Trecinon Road, Rumney, was jailed for two years at Cardiff Crown Court on 12 March.
James pleaded guilty to possessing crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of the same, and acquiring criminal property, namely money.
He was arrested on November 26 last year after officers executed a warrant at his home and found him having “stuffed” crack cocaine and heroin in his mouth as officers forced entry.
According to South Wales Police, officers “acted quickly to prevent the drug dealer from accidentally swallowing the lethal cocktail of drugs” - this is captured on body cameras from one of the officers.
During a search of his house, officers found £2,000 in a bedroom along with a mobile phone which he was using to run two drugs lines.
Messages on his phone revealed he had sent out 1,762 messages offering class A drugs in just two weeks.
The money has been seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
