Why are we here?
Local news has been in decline for years, with many newspapers shutting down due to falling revenues. This trend has left a gap in trustworthy, community-focused journalism. Yet, the need for local news hasn’t disappeared — in fact, it’s as important as ever. According to Ofcom, 92% of adults rely on local news or information in some form to stay connected to their communities.
