“Something for everyone”: children’s literature festival returns in March

The free events will take place at the National Museum Cardiff

Cardiff Children’s Literature Festival is coming to the city once more this March.

The event is aimed at children between three and 13 and will run from March 24 to March 30.

Children's authors and illustrators including Emma Carroll, Jack Meggitt-Phillips, Sioned Wyn Roberts are lined up to entertain and inspire a new generation of readers.

Children will be able to attend free event at schools at the National Museum of Wales throughout the week with paid events running at a range of venues over the weekend.

Cllr Jennifer Burke, cabinet member for culture, parks and events, said: "Getting to hear direct from the authors and illustrators who create their favourite stories is a brilliant way to get kids excited and engaged with reading.

"Whether your kids are just getting interested in books or already avid readers, the festival has something for everyone and who knows, it might even inspire some of them to put pen to paper themselves one day."

The festival is produced by Cardiff Council and will include btoh English and Welsh medium events.

More information and tickets can be found at the festival’s website.
