“Very concerned”: Police issue new appeal for mother still missing after six months

South Wales Police have issued a new appeal for a woman who was last seen in Cardiff last July.

Charlene Hobbs, 35, was last seen in Adamsdown on July 24 when a photograph of her taken at a property in Broadway at 6:07am.

The day before, Charlene was seen on CCTV in Morrisons Local, Adamsdown with her hair in a bun and wearing a dark strapless top. She also has a distinctive dragon tattoo visible on her back.

Officers are now asking people living in Splott and Roath to help with their ongoing searches by checking their outbuildings and empty properties where Charlene could have taken shelter.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Powell, from South Wales Police, said: “There are several possible explanations for Charlene’s disappearance, and we are keeping an open mind as we do all we can to establish what has happened to her.

“Charlene is a mother, a sister, a daughter, and a friend to many. Like us, they are all very concerned for her welfare and are desperate for answers.”
